Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location is fantastic, offering a great view and delicious rooftop dining. However, the rooms may get noisy during check-in times and lack the expected soundproofing, affecting the overall experience.
The hotel provides a clean and comfortable stay with helpful and friendly staff. While the rooms offer a nice harbour view and quiet atmosphere, they lack soundproofing. The location is superb, offering easy access to iconic landmarks like the Gateway of India and Marine Drive. However, the dining options are limited, and the noise from construction work can be bothersome at times.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The location is a true gem, offering a peaceful spot on the Colaba waterfront, away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai traffic. The rooms, while comfortable and quiet, can be a bit pricey and had some issues like flooding during showers. Service was a hit or miss with some standout individuals making the stay better, but overall lacking in hospitality. The dining options were limited and could use improvement, but the hotel's facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel's location is second to none, with a rooftop restaurant/bar offering stunning sea views just a stone's throw from the iconic Gateway of India. The rooms, while clean and well-lit, could benefit from a makeover to address various cracks. Service was exceptional, with staff members like Ajay Salami and Abdul Qadir going above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. However, some aspects of the service were lacking, such as not providing clear guidance on room controls. The dining experience had limited choices and wasn't up to par, taking away from an otherwise convenient and posh colonial location.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and kept very clean, which was great. However, the constant noise from the busy road outside and the ongoing construction work made it difficult to get a good night's rest. On the positive side, the small step-out balcony offered a lovely harbor view.
The hotel is ideally located right in line with the Taj and sea-facing at the Gateway of India, offering new and classic decor. The rooms are small but clean to an international 4-star standard. The service is very responsive and excellent at the rooftop bar and housekeeping, although there is occasional smoking smell from nearby offices. The location is amazing, being in the center of Colaba just a 2-minute walk from the Gateway of India, with an awesome view of the restaurant. The dining experience is of a good standard, albeit with some basic offerings like instant coffee with reboiled water. The facilities are accommodating and appropriate for a short stay.
My stay at the hotel was delightful overall. The rooms were very comfortable and well-decorated, and the staff was always helpful and friendly. A big thank you to the lady who sorted out train tickets to Goa for us; she was amazing. However, the noise from conversations near the reception was quite bothersome, and the atmosphere of the room lacked a bit of charm.
